Tickets to Ground Passes for Wimbledon

I know that the only way that I could possibly obtain ground passes to Wimbledon ahead of time is by going on Ticketmaster at 9:00 the morning before the day that we plan to attend. I was told that the best chance of being lucky enough to get these tickets is to set up my account ahead of time and register on the Ticketmaster website. I did try to do that and had no trouble with my registration for events in North America, but an international registration wouldn't work because my address is in the United States. Even giving the address of our hotel in London wouldn't work. Does anyone know if there is a way to get around this issue? If not, we will just bite the bullet and get up at the crack of dawn on Saturday, July 6 and hope for the best. Thank you for any help that you can give me with this issue. Linda

It is a long time since I have used Ticketmaster but back then one account worked for everything. Maybe it is different now.

Also if it wasn't clear to you in the earlier threads, what is released the day before via TM are tickets to show courts, not just the grounds.

Thank you for responding to my e-mail. We are only going after ground passes for Saturday, July 6. Still no luck with Ticketmaster, but I'll keep trying. If anyone else has any info about this, I would be eternally grateful. Linda

We went to Wimbledon two years ago and just got up very early to join the Queue. We were hoping for grounds passes, but ended up with tickets for Court 1. It was well worth the early morning and waiting. I recommend bringing something to sit on (a cheap blanket or towel?). If you have specific questions, let me know! I can also find the post I wrote about our Wimbledon experience.

Thank you so much, Meg. How lucky that you were able to get tickets to Court 1! Do you remember how much you had to pay for this? I will be with my daughter and 3 grandchildren, so, if the opportunity does come up, it might be more money than I'll be able to afford. At this point, we will feel VERY lucky to just get ground passes, as I have heard, even getting there by 6:00 will be a gamble.

IIRC you are going on the Saturday. The price list on that day is:

Centre Court: £108
No. 1 Court: £95
No. 2 & 3 Courts: £70
Ground: £25

The stewards go round at about 7.30am to distribute wristbands for the different courts starting at the front of the queue. You get the choice of whatever is left when it is your turn.

Thank you, Marco. We will have all fingers and toes crossed that we will be able to obtain ground passes. Anything else is beyond my budget.
