Sorry, I don’t know if this post is appropriate, but this video blew me away. This is the city where I live? Amazing.
It is a stirring video. I haven't been to London before, so I found myself being intrigued, but also seeing the similarities to other large cities of the world.
Did you catch his other city videos? Watching Cuba after London is a marked contrast.
Then I had to read a bit about the filmer. He is a professional and as a personal project wants to make videos that stir the senses. I think he succeeded.
Love "This is the city where I live? " remark.
I lived an hour away from San Francisco when I grew up. Wasn't until my mid 30's when I'd moved away from CA and then returned that I made the time to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge.
My point? Often we forget the interesting things in our own "backyards."
And Yes Mike that is the fabulous city in which you live, my favorite city on the planet.
Thank you. That is wonderful.
Thank you for sharing this!! I teach film and would love to show my students this to spark some new filming ideas and interest in travelling.
No wonder it took him 2 years to film... so many diverse images... just like London.
I recognised most of the locations but missed a few - probably like many Londoners and nearby Londoners (like me).
Richmond Park was nice, as was Hampstead Heath. Lots of great images packed into a small package.
I did note to myself that there were some views that don't exist any more, like Dippy and an uncovered Elizabeth Tower.
Love the Pergola (Hill Garden, Hampstead Heath).
I've just watched it for the 4th time. Every time I see things I missed before.
So glad to see the Churchill Arms made it in...
