Things to do within walking distance of Bermondsey

My 15 year old daughter and I will be taking the red-eye, arriving at Heathrow at 9 am on a Sunday in June. We plan on taking a car service to our air bnb and dropping off our luggage. Looking for suggestions on things to do that day within walking distance of the Bermondsey tube station for lunch/dinner, sightseeing, etc. thanks!

All sound great, thanks! I've read about the Textile Museum, and while my daughter balks at most museums, I think she'd like this one.

OMG, Maltby Market looks amazing! We can get provisions there for the week. Thanks for the advice on travel cards, too!

Matlby Street market is only open weekends i think... for all the pop up food stalls anyway. Totally recommend the Colombian Arepas. Borough Market isn’t much further on, depending on the day you are there. St. Catherine’s Dock, just over Tower Bridge is fun too. You’re really not far from Brick Lane either, Sunday is the best day. Walk the South Bank to Westminster, a couple of miles; sooo many things to see and do on the way. From Bermondsey, only head West; there is nothing to the East for some way. Have fun.
