My husband has his heart set on a September matinee of Les Mis at the Sondheim Theatre. Is it best to go straight to the theatre website to make sure tickets purchased are legit? Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere and thank you!
Yes. If you absolutely want to see something, buy it from the ticket agent (Delfont Mackintosh for the Sondheim Theatre) operating the official box office. You will have the best choice of seats.
Theatremonkey is a great resource for identifying the agent that operates the box office and for seeing seating plans and reviews of seats to help with choosing seats. Here is their page for the Sondheim Theatre:
You may as well buy direct. Other sites are fine but if you know what you want them just buy direct from the theatre. The prices will be the same.
There are a number of totally legitimate vendors but for popular shows prices tend to be the same - always better to book if you really want to go and the direct ticket page will be as good as any others
