The Theatre by the Lake now has it's programme out until September 2025 and is taking bookings.
One of next year's Summer plays is a new adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, from 7 August to 6 September
Also the Keswick Film Festival (25th anniversary) is the first weekend in March (6 to 9 March) with over 2 dozen movies spread between the TbTL, the Alhambra and the Rheged Centre (at Penrith).
It may not be Cannes but is always an outstanding weekend of world and independent cinema. The festival is organised by the Keswick Film Club who have screenings of world cinema every Sunday evening in the fall/winter and spring/early summer at 5pm at the Alhambra.
Ticket sales for the Film Festival will start early in the New Year. The previous weekend is highlights from the Banff Mountain Film Festival, and 9 to 12 March is 'Words by the Water' - the annual book, poetry and writing festival in Keswick.
