The Wolseley Piccadilly

Maybe a stupid question for most of this readers, but I do not unterstand, what is the different, sorry.

Like to make a reservation for breakfast. I can see two options.

a) 09.00 a.m. breakfast and
b) 09.00 a.m. breakfast . salon table

?? Please, what‘s the different.

A seating option located in the more casual Salon area - to the left of the reception desk. This is a lighter and more relaxed section near the entrance and bar. There are placemats rather than formal white tablecloths. Also a little less pricier with lighter meals.

You are welcome. That was one of the places I was looking at for afternoon tea on our last visit. Have a lovely time!

I hope this isn’t hijacking a topic, but has anyone experienced going to the Wolseley for afternoon tea. We are meeting up with my sister on a trip to Great Britain and she wants to attend a tea. I want to find a place that would be a nice experience, but not require us to “dress up” (we will have shirt with a collar for my husband, blouse for myself- no jacket, no tie).

Several years ago my sister and I had afternoon tea at the Wolseley. When we booked, we made a request for a modified tea (diabetic). They inadvertently missed that and I have to say the effort they made to correct it was quite exceptional. It took a bit of extra time but the replacement menu items were delicious and at the end of it, they would not accept payment from us. I have gone at other times of the day too and have always enjoyed it. They have a lively atmosphere which is fun.
