The Times they are a changing

Always a great read for the weary traveller wondering what to do in the evening or plan for the next day, the print edition of Time Out is to cease.

A useful standby if you were billy no-mates dining alone - I mean, once you'd read the menu you had to read something!

oh say i' 'tain't true!!

to be truthful tho, it has been but a shadow of its prior Time Out since well before I retired several years ago. It used to be a great mag, folded over it nicely filled my back pocket under the uniform.

Then it shrank down to barely 24 pages, hardly worth carrying. And now, ... poof...

ah well

Interwebs not so great for browsing, and hard to tear out the new review....

Oh, that's too bad. I still remember my first trip overseas - I went to England on a solo trip for 2 1/2 weeks back in 1996 - and discovered Time Out. After reading some of the other guidebooks out at the time, it was a breath of fresh air. I haven't picked up a copy in recent years but it was always a good read.
