We did the same trip in May! You will have a wonderful time. Pubs are the way to go for both lunch & dinner. My husband & I split whatever we ordered & had plenty of food for both of us. Our day trip to Bath with London Walks was definitely a highlight for London as well as touring Westminster Abbey. In Paris we loved the beautiful buildings, art in the museums and an afternoon picnic in Luxembourg Gardens. Enjoy!!!

Question for Diana.....can you recommend pubs around in the westminster area? We are going in a week and encouraged by your liking of the London walks.....having looked into that yet and was wanting to take tour to Bath and Stonehenge.

Pubs near Weatminster Abbey:

On our last visit we were walking from St.,James Park to Westminster Bridge and passed the Shepherd's Neame Westminster Arms on Storey's Gate. It looked pretty cool and we intended to go back but ended up dining across the river. I'd still like to give it a try.

Others nearby are the Fuller's Pub in the Sanctuary House Hotel on Tothill Street, and St. Stephens Tavern and Pub on Bridge St. Just a block from the bridge.

Bon voyage. Saw my 49ers play the Jaguars last year at Wembley Stadium. Great fun. You will be stunned how many Raider jerseys you'll see on the streets of London that are NOT worn by yanks. The reach of the powerful NFL has captured an audience in the UK. If you are in London on the 28th visit the huge NFL sponsored event at Trafalgar Square and you'll see what I mean. Glad to see you are including a canal boat ride. Don't know if will coincide where you'll be dropped off BUT
from Camden Lock Market a walk along the Regent's Canal will bring you to Prince Albert Road and St. Mark's church. There is a lovely tiny cafe at the church with tables and chairs on the lawn. Homemade jams, scones, etc. Worth the effort. Cheers!!!

We ate at St Stephens Tavern which is across from Westminster Abbey. We had fish & chips. It was our last night in London & we wanted to see the Eye & Big Ben lit up. Our base was near Holborn Tube so most of the pubs we went to were close to our apartment. I found an app for London Pubs which showed us where the closest ones were to where we were at the moment. Other pubs we loved - Princess Louise & The Ship's Lantern, both near Holborn Tube.

London Walks have a ton of walks for all types of interests. Check out their website walks.com to see what interests you. Definitely worth your time. They even have several pub walks. Have fun!
