The Rannerdale Bluebells

For anyone visiting the Lake District in May the Rannerdale Bluebells are a sight to see- https://www.conversanttraveller.com/rannderdale-bluebells-all-you-need-to-know/

  • a very unusual instance of bluebells on open fell (hill) side.

Rannerdale is between Buttermere and Crummock Water and is easily (and best) accessed on the 77/77A circular bus from Keswick.

Parking can be tight to come by, and there are lots of problems in the area from people parking in unsuitable, even illegal places when they can't find anywhere (and/or trying to avoid parking charges), causing significant problems on the road network

Oh, wonderful!

I tried to see them last year in early May but that was too early. Hope to time it better this year!
