The Premier Inn website glitch is STILL not fixed

FYI, if you're starting to plan trips for this year, be very careful of booking on www.premierinn.com

There's been an ongoing glitch on this website, covered in threads before Covid, with the website changing your dates to one day earlier than you inputted. The Premier Inn app doesn't have this glitch.

I just made a reservation on the website today with no glitch. It seems like this is not something that happens every time.

I do remember the glitch being from time to time, I have definitely seen it for 7-9 May, that's a Saturday and Sunday and the website keeps changing it to the 6th-8th of May.

I made a reservation for May 8-13th with no glitch.. I wonder if what browser you use makes a difference? I used Google Chrome.

I have experienced this on a different UK websites.

I was able to get around it by changing the timezone on my device’s clock to UK time. Try changing the timezone setting before you try to make the reservation and see if that works. Alternatively, try making the reservation at a time when the calendar date in the U.S. is the same as the calendar date in the U.K. (e.g., before 7pm on the east coast of the U.S. or before 4pm on the west coast) and see if that works.

I am speculating, but I think this occurs when the website tries to adjust the date based on your device’s time.

Laura's explanation may be correct. There has to be something behind what is going on. Can't imagine why they haven't fixed it for good after 3 years (or longer).

However, I booked a few PI rooms over the last week and found that--at least for my reservations--the date shifted initially (when I looked at the day-by-day rate breakdown) but was correct on the final confirmation. I was able to test it out with no risk because I was making flexible reservations. The unstable dates are obviously seriously concerning if you are opting for a discount-priced, non-refundable reservation.

I was able to book a hotel room on the site today and it did not change the dates. Intermittent faults like the one reported in this thread are hard to find & fix, there are probably a cluster of things that have to happen to cause it.

I booked a few days ago. When I put my desired dates in the search, it shifted my dates one day earlier. BUT, then, when I proceeded to actually book/pay for a room, it showed the correct dates.

Made a couple reservations via the website yesterday for later this year and had no issues.

I made a reservation with another hotel chain in England for a small hotel in SE England and encountered this same problem. Their system's area is researching it. I'll update as to what they find. Maybe they have the same system Premier Inn uses.
