Lots of information here. It could take quite a while for them to enter general circulation as the existing notes with Queen Elizabeth will, continue to be legal tender.
Would it be considered rude to refer to them as 'Chuck Bucks"?
"King Charles bank notes" is such a mouthful ( or 10 extra letters to write out)
King Charles The Third bank notes is even more of a mouthful.
Ha ha ha!!!! I love the name Chuck Bucks!
Brilliant moniker, "Chuck bucks." I'll be using it henceforth, especially with my British friends.
Too bad that the use of cash seems to have mostly disappeared among the British. On my trip there last year I had to force it on cashiers towards the end of my trip just to get rid of it. Once poor young lad was so scared by the idea of making change that he had to call his supervisor to come and watch to make sure that he did it correctly.
It doesn’t end at Chuck bucks.
I can see it now…
Chuckies
Chuck Coin
Chuck change
Chuck bones
Chuckbacks
Chuck doe
Chuck bread
Now that’s a legacy.
God Save The King
I wasn't aware coins with Charles on them had been introduced in December 2023. I haven't seen any. I can go quite a long time without handling any cash at all these days.
The name of His Royal Highness is not chuck.
I think it could be some time before these become commonplace, from the large stock of old notes, their longevity being polymer, and the more limited use these days. For example the Bank of England public counter will only be issuing CR3 notes until 11 June, then it is back to the stocks of QE2.

I thought he had been promoted?
