The dreaded C word

I hate to jinx anything, but are testing kits for C easily available in London? Tesco seems to show a self test kit for 2 pounds, can I just pop into any chemist and get one or do I need to bring some?

I would bring a couple. When we were there in July-August we didn’t see any displays in chemist shops or stores. We’d brought our own but did look on the occasions when we were in a Boots for example.

We found them at Boots for £2 per test.

Yes. Supermarkets too.

Pfred ignore what I said above. We really missed seeing the displays this summer but it sounds like they were there. We weren’t looking enough to ask anyone as we had our own.

Yes, you can get them at most chemist for £2.00. You have to ask the chemist for it, they keep them on display like them do here.

They are everywhere. And cheap.

It also seems masks and hand sanitizer are on sale because people have stopped buying it. (Not N95 mask but the simple surgical masks.)

Frank II makes a good point about the availability of masks and hand sanitizer. Both, especially masks, were difficult to find. I bought Covid tests at 2 different Boots. They were located on a shelf near the pharmacy.

I think it's best to bring your own with you.
You don't want to be trailing around to various pharmacies when you already feel ill.
I brought a box of 5 with me to Europe this year and was very glad not to have to go out and look for them.

I obviously misunderstood Frank’s response. Maybe I wasn’t quite awake yet. In Scotland, England and France I did not find masks and hand sanitizer to be easy to find. I only looked for Covid tests in England, but didn’t have any trouble locating them at Boots.
