We are going to England for @ 3 weeks in June (1 week on a narrowboat). What might we expect regarding any changes in expenses (i.e., hotel, food, etc.)?
How can anyone know? You may as well ask if it will rain on June 4, or if your narrowboat will .be red or green.
You’re going to have to give more details. You can live like a student at a hostel or channel your inner James Bond and stay at 5 star hotels.
Where are you going? What’s your usual standards of accommodations and meals? Traveling by train or hire car? What do you want to see in the UK?
Your first expense should be a couple of guidebooks, don’t just buy Rick’s because he omits a lot of interesting places in the Uk.
Some good hostels in the KingsCross/St Pancras area, also a YHA one too, plus good B&Bs. This is the area I stay, all within a few minutes walk to the station without having rely on public transport to get me there. Even better if you are using Gatwick since the Thameslink goes 24 hrs and is direct from St Pancras to Gatwick., ca one hour.
I will be in London by June too, no worries on this Brexit issue.
No one knows as yet what will happen.
If we leave, costs may rise, but the pound will tank against the dollar and the euro. Chances are we won’t have left by June.
No one can be sure, but I'd say the odds are that the pound will lose value against the dollar so all your costs in England will be lower than now. That's if the UK really is out of the EU by the end of this month as currently planned.
In the long term, there will be major consequences for Britain's economy which will affect international tourists' experience and costs, but I doubt that you'll notice much difference as soon as June, except maybe for a cheaper pound.
