We are going to be in London soon. On one day we will be doing Westminster Abbey and then will want to go to Greenwich via a river boat. Since we don't know for sure when we will be done seeing the Abbey and having lunch, I'm reluctant to book a specific time for a boat. Will I be able to just show up at the dock at Westminster bridge and get a ticket for a boat?
If you mean the river bus sponsored (but not operated) by Uber then there is no need to book .
This isn’t a cruise with commentary it’s public transportation.
Though the nearest dock is at Embankment
The kind of Thames cruise I am inquiring about is one that would have a narration of what we are passing on the river. We are not just looking for quick transportation. Thanks
Here is a website that should be helpful. I don’t think a reservation would be necessary.

You may also wish to consider the boat return from Kew Gardens if you are going there. I don't think there was a commentary, but it was easy to follow a guidebook, and read the signs on the buildings. We didn't reserve, but they claim they do sell out.
I'm going from Westminster to Greenwich.
It appears that the company linked to in a previous post does not go to Greenwich. We are doing this on Thursday with https://www.thamesriversightseeing.com/piers/westminster-pier.
I had not planned to book in advance, and I don’t think tickets are for a specific time. They are good for the day.
