I get a PCR test on Monday in Portugal, Wednesday morning I fly to UK LGW. Thursday I should fly to Lithuania.
My question is do I need another PCR test to board the plane for Lithuania ? I shall arrive in UK within the 48hour time frame and be good for Lithuania because they have a 72 hour frame work in place.
At Luton Airport, my departure place for Lithuania ,has a walk-in PCR test station, but take 24 hours for confirmation of result. My flight for Lithuania leaves before I would get that result. Consequently, I also need to know if my Portuguese PCR test would serve as "fit to leave UK " ??? any input would be most appreciated. Martin.
UK doesn't have a "fit to leave" test. You don't need a test to leave. You may need a test to arrive in a new country.
Lithuania's entry requirements as of today:
For individuals from 16 years old is mandatory to receive a negative PRC test (PCR test for COVID-19 must have been taken within 72 hours) or an antigen test (antigen test must have been taken within 48 hours);
The UK will accept an antigen test if done within two days. So why not just take an antigen test on Tuesday?
Thank you for the informative reply. Best wishes.
