Terminal 4 at Heathrow (hotel access)

I have a flight into Heathrow that arrives pretty late in the evening and so am staying at an airport hotel (the T4 Holiday Inn) for my first night. The hotel is "walking distance" from Terminal 4 and the website says "Walk across the connecting bridge from the departures terminal and take the first right to access the hotel." However, it looks like Terminal 4 is closed? I'm wondering if its still possible to access the hotel this way, or if I'm going to have to take a cab or figure something else out. Has anyone stayed at one of the T4 hotels recently?

Have you emailed the hotel and asked them about this? They’d have up to date intel.

When is your trip? The hotel is currently closed and is scheduled to reopen on March 1.

This is on their website:

The hotel is due to reopen its doors on the 1st of March 2022.
Holiday Inn Express London Heathrow T4 is directly connected to Terminal 4 by a covered link-bridge, however at this stage Heathrow Terminal 4 is closed.

I did email, but have yet to receive a reply. I know they're closed and I wonder if that's why they're not responding immediately?

My trip is March 2, so I'm arriving right after they open back up and it does have me a little nervous!

The Underground station is closed, as is the rail station. It is still served by the TfL buses although I don't know how 'late'.

That is super helpful information, thank you! It sounds like I probably have to make my way to the hotel from Terminal 3, which is where I'm landing.

They are hoping to reopen on March 1. I would not take the risk of them being open a day later.

I hope you don't mind me asking.....but with all the hotels around LHR, incuding some within walking distance of T3, why would you choose the most difficult hotel to get to?

Its a fair question. I made the reservation in September when I planned my trip and at the time, the hotel was open (or at least it appeared to be). I also had credit card rewards that I could apply to stays at Holiday Inns, so the stay was free.

However, given that they still haven't emailed me back and the info I've gotten from this post (thank you!), I'm thinking that this is going to be much more annoying and difficult than it seemed in September, so I'm probably going to just get a room at the Aerotel and use these rewards for something else.

No use for the OP of course but for anyone else contemplating staying near T4 it has been announced that it will reopen in July, although not the precise date.
