Tea Time in London during Christmas

I am looking at taking my kids to have tea at The Shard. Does anyone recommend a place for kids to have tea in London that is festive for Christmas?

Everywhere will be decorated for Christmas and feeling festive. Fortnum and Mason gets good reviews on here. They will have impressive decorations. Their food hall is famous for its Christmas hampers and gifts and Christmas must be a huge part of their business.

From what I'm hearing from vloggers, many desirable slots around Christmas time are already booked. You may not have much of a choice, but in fact there are lots of teas. You should narrow down your neighborhood and price range. Most are geared to grownups and involve champagne.

The Chesterfield used to have a kid-oriented tea, you might see if they turned that back on.

check out the double decker bus tours around the attractions on london. they may offer a christmas theme ride.
do research for the afternoon teas which are more casual than the classic high teas. when you find one you like book it. like phred mentions, desired slots may be booked now for holidays. so many people are traveling nowdays especially winter with the christmas markets and having tea is a popular adventure.
whatever you decide on go have fun and the kids will have a great time, a magic moment for them.

We spent Christmas in London with family. On Christmas Eve, midday, we went to tea at Fortnum and Mason, perfect, festive, lovely! I highly recommend it. Get reservations ASAP!
