I was wondering if anyone knows if there are cabs or taxis in the small town of East Dean or any small towns in England, for that matter. I live in western NY, and cabs, taxis, and Uber are uncommon in small towns. We will be there for two days and were hoping to be able to use the cabs/taxis for short distances. Thank you.
Probably not in East Dean but there will be in Eastbourne just along the coast.
A Google search on “Taxis East Dean Sussex “ or similar should bring up a few options.
Ubers are in big towns and cities in the UK but not smaller places, but even smallish towns have taxi firms particularly if they are by the sea.
However, East Dean is on the coast road between Eastbourne and Brighton and there are frequent buses. From memory, some of these (at least) are double decker. The view from the top, particularly at the front, is much better than from a taxi.
if a town has a supermarket there will be a taxi company taking customers there.
Yes, there are taxis in East Dean.
If you google taxis in East Dean it will tell you.
