Is it possible to take a small backpack to the Theatre? Measures 18 x 13 x 7 inches. It is black fabric. Can't find anything on the theatre website. Thank you!

We went to 2 musicals in London last week. They looked in handbags and I don’t remember seeing anyone with something as large as a small backpack. You might wear it on your chest to enter and maneuver through the lobby. Theater aisles are very narrow but if you think it would fit under your seat, even if you have to stand or vacate the row to let latecomers pass by, it would probably be ok if you see no policy on their website. Do they have a FAQ page or a place to email the box office?
Edit: On the seat plan.com website I saw this in the FAQ for St Martins
“Does the St Martin's Theatre have a cloakroom?
There is no cloakroom at the St Martin's Theatre, patrons should only bring small bags and items that will fit underneath your seat in the auditorium.”
BTW seatplan.com is a handy website that shows what the view is like from seats you are considering.
