Sunday itinerary Advice

We will be in London for the first time, (staying Resident Victoria) and our first full day will be Sunday, August 30 (bank holiday weekend.)

The tentative plan is 9 AM entry at Tower of London, then walk over Tower Bridge to South Bank, through BuroughMarket and then back over Millennium Bridge to St Paul’s for 3 pm Evensong. (We won’t have time to tour St Paul’s so thought we could at least admire the interior in this way.) Afterwards, we would like to enjoy Sunday roast somewhere and then an evening cruise on the Thames.

The cruise I’ve seen has a glass of champagne, canapés (which we won’t need!) and some jazz music (which sounds nice) and it begins & ends at Tower Bridge, so any suggestions for Sunday Roast in the area between St Paul’s and the Tower? Is there a better cruise option that would end near Westminster and maybe not two hours long? Am I thinking of the whole thing wrong? Open for all suggestions.

Firstly, Sunday roast is served at lunchtime between around 12-3. Some odd places do serve it in the evening but it’s not at all usual. I went to a pub in my home city last weekend and was very surprised that at 5pm the only food option was still a roast dinner, although they stopped serving food altogether at around 6pm so it was more like a very long lunch service. I don’t think you’ll squeeze in a lunchtime roast with your schedule.
