Suggestions for catching the Eurostar @ St. Pancras

We will be taking the 6:50 AM Eurostar to Brussels on 15 Sept. Our rental is about equally distant from the West Kensington and West Brompton tube stations. We are trying to decide if it would be better at that time of day to simply book a taxi from our rental or walk to a tube station and take the tube. We understand that we should be at the station for check-in by at least 6:05 am (instead of the 30 minutes stated on the web site) Not really sure how long it would take at that time of day by either tube (with the associated walking) or by taxi. If booking a taxi, we would want to pre-book for pickup that morning (anyone have experience with the Taxicode UK Taxi booking app?)

Any suggestions or insight are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The tube starts running at about half-past five. Probably your most convenient option would be to take the District Line from West Kensington to Earls Court and then the Piccadilly to Kings Cross. This will get you there in time if all goes well, but for an international Eurostar journey I'd prefer to take a cab. The traffic should not be too bad at that time.

Thanks Philip. That's the kind of information I was looking for - the bit about "if all goes well" and not knowing about the traffic at that time in the morning during a weekday.

Any suggestions or recommendations concerning booking a taxi?

I've never heard of that app.

Hailo gets good reviews.

Will you be able to turn your flat back at that time of the morning?

There won't any significant traffic at that time of the morning.
