In London for a weekend and would appreciate suggestions for 1/2 day on Friday and during the day on Saturday. Also, suggestions for dinner before theatre on Saturday evening and Sunday morning good neighborhood spots. Staying in Paddington area.

It’s London—your choices for activities on Friday afternoon and Saturday daytime are almost limitless. Have you looked at any guidebooks? Rick’s London guide is fine for such a short visit (Lonely Planet London covers more but that’s moot for just a weekend)
If you tell us the time of year you’ll be visiting, whether you’ve visited before and if so what you’ve already seen, or your interests, you’ll get better help from the forum folk.

London Walks tour
If you’ve never been for your 1/2 day visit Parliament Square ( parliament, Big Ben, Westminister Abbey) then walk up to Trafalgar Square. From there walk into Covent Garden and if you like Indian food try Punjab.
Saturday Portobello Market. Easy access from the Paddington area. Use the tube. Go from Lancaster gate to Nottinghill Gate. That afternoon visit the Treasure Room at the British Library.
Where’s your theatre? Easier to suggest a restaurant if you can share which theatre.
Sunday morning walk into Hyde Park and have breakfast at the Lido Cafe by the Serpentine.
