Suggest a reasonably priced hotel near LHR with a shuttle to Heathrow ?

Looking for 2 rooms close to the airport for our first night because we land at 9:30 pm.

We just want clean and close. Are there any that you can recommend that have a shuttle. We need to go back to Heathrow the next day at noon and get the rental car then......Looking for any personal suggestins of places you have stayed.

Thanks

We've stayed at both the Premier Inn and the Ibis on Cold Bath Road. Both fit your bill. Both are (comparatively) inexpensive. Of the two the Premier Inn is the nicer, but the Ibis is perfectly acceptable for a one night stay.

Both are served by the Hoppa shuttle buses but frankly if there's two of you or more, then a taxi would be almost as cheap, and probably quicker. I was a bit horrified by how much the bus tickets were for such a comparatively short trip, but then again, I thought the taxi fare was a bit steep some years ago when we took one to our hotel, which made us investigate the bus services. In the end we determined bus was cheaper, taxi more convenient. Depends what your priorities are I suppose!

You can Google the current bus schedules, and possibly the fares.

Have a great trip!

If you arrive at Terminal 5 there is a Sofitel connected to the terminal. (I've stayed numerous times. Not the cheapest but the most convenient.)

At Terminal 4, there is a Yotel inside the terminal and a Hilton connected to it via a walkway. (The walk is about 10 minutes.)

After that, as stated previously, there are numerous hotels on the Hoppa route.

Free Travel zone is a new one to me, (shows you how long ago we stayed there!) but obviously worth trying if you hotel is within the boundary. We'll be using this ourselves in future - I've learned a great deal about where I live thanks to this site...and Emma too of course!

There's a Premier Inn that claims to be at Terminal 4. I haven't stayed there yet. I think it may be new (or a rebranding of an older hotel), because last week I booked a double room (for one person) on September 17 for £45. The Yotel was about £100 for the same night. I think my flight departs from Terminal 5, but I assume I can just use free airport transportation to get from T4 to T5.

The Premier Inn is just past the Hilton.

I didn't know there is a difference is buses around Heathrow. I always stay a the Sofitel so no need to take a bus.

I've done both the Hoppa and the Red bus.

If I have lots of luggage or if it is raining, I use the Hoppa since it picks you up at a covered location at the airport and drops you directly at the door of your hotel. Worth the £5 for me (was only £4 last time I rode it) in that situation. Otherwise, I take the Red bus.

Have not tried the taxi. Heard some drivers will refuse you if you are only going the short distance to the surrounding hotels.

We stayed at the Novotel. Perfectly acceptable. I'm not sure there are any restaurants anywhere walkable near there, which leaves you at the mercy of the hotel restaurant.

We stay in the Premier Inn on Bath Road. Nothing special but fine for one night. They have a shuttle but, as other people have said, the regular buses are free on that route. One advantage is that they are only a few minutes walk from the White Horse which is a remarkably nice pub for the area if you fancy a night cap!
