Stonehenge inner stones tour

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but just wanted to gauge everyone's thoughts on the inner stones tour. And then once it's done, can we see the rest of the area or do we have to wait until our actual ticket time? If we do have to wait, what are recommendations to kill time

we did the sunrise tour, well worth it, we were allowed in for about 30 minutes or so and then we left about 6am and went searching for Breakfast. If you do the inner circle you don't really need to see anything else.

We’re just back from our trip and the inner access tour was a highlight for me. But I’ve been wanting to see Stonehenge for years. Our tour was at 8am which was perfect as at this time of year we had nice lighting at that time for photographs. We then browsed the gift shop, ate breakfast from the cafe, then toured the visitors centre. Worked out perfectly this way for us.

Instead of trying to explain the options, I'll just refer you to the authoritative site regarding the opening hours, visitor centre, English Heritage membership (Overseas Visitor Pass) and so on: https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/stonehenge/prices-and-opening-times/

You can always call them if you have specific questions not answered on the website. From the USA dial 011-44- (0)370 333 1181.

For me, a visit to Stonehenge was a lifelong dearly loved ambition. (I prefer not to use the term that begins with "bucket.") So, inner circle access was extremely important and I would have done just about anything not to miss it. We went to Stonehenge during the regular opening hours the preceding day, partly so we'd know the route as we had to drive there in the predawn darkness on the day of our inner circle booking. We greatly enjoyed being able to take our time in the visitor centre and listen to the audio guide. I understand the audio guide is now available during the inner circle access hours(?) but at the time when we went, it wasn't.

FWIW, when we left Stonehenge in the early morning we drove to nearby Cholderton and had an excellent full English breakfast at the Parkhouse Motel. It's only about 5-10 minutes from Stonehenge by car, so it's very easy to return or to drive to Woodhenge & Durrington Walls after breakfast. Just watch the signs at the motorway entrance so you don't get on going the wrong direction, LOL.
