Stonehenge/Bath day trip from London

Trying to find a day trip from London to Bath that allows time for a mineral bath soak in addition to touring the Roman Baths. Tour ideally would include a stop at Stonehenge for a sunrise inner circle access tour. Does anyone know of a such a tour configured this way? All I can find is a tour consisting of an inner circle access stop, a short stop in Lacock and then on to Bath. But Bath has only a walking tour before the Roman Baths. Does anyone know if you can skip out on the walking tour and have time to have a short spa time? Must you enter the Roman Bath tour with your group? Really don't want to stay overnight in Bath because I am not sure of transportation there and back. Renting a car is not an option. Thanks for any help!

You can do a day trip from London but I don't know that it will include time for an actual mineral bath. London Walks does this as a day trip. I would stay in Bath itself if you really want to take a bath there. Transportation is easy. Bus to Reading and train to Bath. When in your itinerary are you doing this by the way? My sister and I went straight from Heathrow to Bath via the transportation method I mentioned. Then you could perhaps do just the inner circle access tour for Stonehenge from London.

You could take a train directly from London Paddington station to Bath train station. The hop-on-hop-off bus stops right near the train station in Bath and is a great way to see the town.

The Thermae Bath Spa is about a block away from the Roman Bath and is very popular. Go walk through the ancient bath and then get your spa visit.

"Really don't want to stay overnight in Bath because I am not sure of transportation there and back. "

There are frequent trains (every half hour, at least on weekdays), leaving from London Paddington station and going to Bath Spa station, taking about 90 minutes each way. Very easy.

To find schedules and buy tickets, use the National Rail website: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/.

Note that Advance tickets, with a capital A, will be cheapest, but you must take the exact train you are ticketed for. These go on sale about 11 weeks before travel.

I agree that the tours from London that do both Stonehenge and Bath will not allow you much time in either place. If you want to spend time in a mineral soak bath, then you should go on your own rather than with a tour designed for short visits to multiple places (these can be fine for some, but aren't what you are looking for).
