Are you wanting to do a day trip from London to see Stonehenge or would you want to take 2 nights out of your 7 to stay overnight in Salisbury and take the local bus out to the stones? It runs only this route - out to the stones, back via Old Sarum to Salisbury. Very easy to do.

Looking for just a day trip to Stonehedge. Don't need to go to Bath or Salisbury. Ideally only Stonehedge ... shortest possible. Any suggestions?

I guess "Stonehedge" is an attack of the US spell-checkers. Like St. Pancreas station and the Berber Oberland.

I thank all your support. Only day would be Sunday Easter. Have decided on Golden Tours as back by 3:00 in time to catch Easter at St Paul's. Prefer to be on own to explore etc...perhaps next time in summer to do early sunrise or sunset...knowing weather better too.
Best to all! You have been such help!!

I had a wonderful trip where we had a few stops (Bath, etc.) by Premium Tours. Our tour guide, Frank B., was fun and excellent. Best of all, the bus (leaving from Victoria Coach Station) had Wi Fi.
