Staying in London

Hi We arrive in London tomorrow evening and are still trying to find a place to stay. There are 3 of us and we would like to find a small apartment on hotel that has more than a double bed in the room. We love old and ecletic and would like Bloomsbury, Notting Hill or Kensington. Can anyone make a recommendation?
Thank you!

At the last minute in high season, I suggest you get onto Bookingdotcom or similar immediately and see what’s available in your price range as you may not have much choice at all. Good luck!

Look at the Premier Inn chain of hotels. Not a Hub by Premier Inn but a regular Premier Inn.

Also at this late date definitely use Booking.com to help with your search.

Good Luck

Do you have 3 adults or are there any children in your party. It makes a difference. Premier Inn rooms only allow 2 adults and up to 2 children under 16. If you have 3 adults, you’d need 2 rooms. Use the premier inn website to search. It won’t be old and eclectic, but it will likely be a decent price for London.

I also think at this late time, I’d search on booking.com. When I had to do a last minute booking last year, I didn’t find a lot of choices. Good luck.

You might want to try a bed and breakfast (not necessarily an Airbnb) rather than a hotel as they will be booked most likely in August. Another idea is to contact the various colleges or universities in London and ask if they will take travelers. We've done that in London, Paris and various big university cities. Many will rent out dorms to families when students are not in session. The cost is reasonable and often breakfast is included.

since you were arriving 9 days ago I assume you worked something out. What happened? Where did you wind up?
