Staying in Kensington and want to visit Greenwich via river cruise

Any advice on how to get from Kensington to get on river cruise to Greenwich? After visiting Greenwich, how to do we get to the British Museum?

Take the Circle Line tube (yellow line on the tube map) south from High Street Kensington station to Embankment Pier and look for the City Cruises red and white boat. Trips leave every 30 minutes for Greenwich. Go to www.citycruises.com to check prices. Take the boat to Greenwich.

To return, take the boat back to Embankment Pier, get off the boat, walk a block to Embankment tube station, take the Northern Line (black line on your tube map) tube north to Tottenham Court Station, come out, walk north on Goodge St.for one block, take a right on Great Russell St., walk three blocks; you will be right in front of The British Museum.

Thames River Services also provide the same service: http://www.thamesriverservices.co.uk/

Another boat service is Thames Clippers. www.thamesclippers.com You can check all three lines for prices. You will want to buy a round trip ticket.

The Thames gets pretty boring (with the exception of the flood gates) after Tower Bridge - - mostly the back end of apartment blocks and some industrial stuff.

You could take a shorter river cruise on the amphibious DUKWs which goes down to about Westminster Bridge in the water and then loops around through the north bank streets like a regular tour bus. They start from about a block south of the Eye. I took the grandkids on one of those old suckers last year and they though it was a hoot.

It'd take something over a half hour to scoot down to Greenwich from High Street Kensington. It'd probably be something like Circle Line to Westminster Underground, then Jubilee Line to Canary Warf, then a short hump to Heron Quays DLR, then the DLR will take you to Cutty Sark.

To get back up to the museum, it'd be the DLR to Bank DLR, then Northern Line to King's Cross, then Piccadilly Line to Russell Square.

I might be off a tad on either, but it'd be easy enough to hive out on a tube map.
