Stairs Riding Heathrow Express to Paddington Station?

We will be arriving at Heathrow from the US on United. We'd like to take the express train in to London Paddington and then a taxi from Paddington to our hotel near Hyde Park.
Are there many stairs to navigate with bags going from terminal to train? And then from the train to street at Paddington?

Haven’t flown United. Always fly VA from the US. Their terminal is the furthest one. So long walk to reach the Heathrow Express.

Mostly moving walkways and there are elevators.

If you don’t wish to walk on the moving walkway you can stand on the RIGHT with your luggage in front or behind you BUT its best to walk. If slow stay on the right to allow others to pass by you on the left.

Once you arrive Paddington I know there is a ramp up to where the taxi cabs are located. You’ll join a queue to get one.

I believe that United uses T2 at heathrow. T2 and T3 share one station for the heathrow express. I think the Elizabeth line also uses the same station so be careful which train you get on.

I usually arrive at T3. When leaving the customs secure area there’s a ramp that you can use to get to the station. There may be moving walkways in between. Once you are past the turnstiles there is an elevator that takes you down to the train platform. Elevators arrive quickly. I have not had a long wait for one. I would think the T2 side is configured similarly.

Yes, United flights are at Terminal 2. Sorry, I don't remember about stairs (although I was just there last week) because I love climbing stairs and always take them if they're available. I'll try to remember to ask my husband when he gets home. My memory is that there are escalators – and usually a lift/elevator in addition, if you prefer that. OK, he confirms that it is just a few escalators, a lot of walking, and then after immigration and baggage claim, you can go down escalators or elevators and walk again to the tube / train / bus stations.

Bear in mind that unless you book the Heathrow Express well in advance and get a cheap £5.50 fare it will be very expensive at £25. You can take the Elizabeth Line now, which runs on the same route but stops a few times and therefore is a little slower but is half the price.

You can avoid stairs going to the Paddington taxi rank from the main line platforms but the most obvious way does have a few stairs on it - not many as it is mainly an incline.

My husband and I just watched some YouTubes yesterday on Heathrow Arrivals both from either Terminal 2 or 3. You may give them a try. They were filmed by actual clients getting off their planes and doing the walking process.
