St. Pancras Tube station - how many steps?

We're in London now, near Edgware Rd., and have tickets on the Eurostar tomorrow. We're trying to figure out how many steps there are at the St. Pancras tube stop to see if it's viable for us to get there that way. Edgware Rd has a staircase but it's doable for us I believe.

I'm probably just overtired, but I keep looking at the TFL page and can't figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

For a step free option use the Bus 205 from Edgware Road to Kings Cross. It runs every 11 minutes and takes 22 minutes. It is usually pretty reliable on those timings. Your Oyster is valid- you only swipe on to the bus, not off, as it's a flat fare system to anywhere.
If you only think you can manage Edgware Road that is your best option.
There are stop announcements for each stop, so you can't miss St Pancras/Kings Cross.
It will show it's destination as Bow Church (which is way out in East London)

The station is called King's Cross St. Pancras - and it's step free if you need that. All you need to look at is the disabled circle, and in this case it's a solid blue for step free. There are also two street entrances without steps, in case you come in by bus

The bus is a good idea if you can deal with your luggage on it. How much do you have?

The Kings Cross St Pancras tube station is multi level and well served by lifts as well as escalators. That is both good and bad news. Because of my wife I have to use those lifts. If you plan to use them leave a little extra time. They can be confusing and they only go up one level at a time so to go all the way out or into St Pancras International will take some walking and finding each lift you need.

There is a bit of a ramp from the St Pancras tube booking hall into the station. If your luggage is a but difficult I might suggest going up the Kings Cross side and walking across the little street between the two stations. The Eurostar are is about midway in the long and narrow St Pancras station, on the Kings Cross side.

Kings Cross St Pancras is step free in the sense that there is a route which doesn't involve going up stairs but it also can send you round long walking routes.

The TfL journey finder has various options for accessibility including step free to platform and escalators but not stairs if you need this info more widely in your visit.

Thank you all!!!

We'll probably still do the tube but I will also put forth the bus option.

My family has a rolling carry-on and backpack each, plus a purse. My brother's family has three spinner suitcases, one quite large, plus backpacks. We got here from Heathrow on the Heathrow Express and then walked from Paddington. It was about half a mile, so I think once we get to the platform at Edgware Rd we should be good. The train is at 1:30 and we're leaving here by 10 at the absolute latest.

Don’t get the bus in that case. That’s too much luggage between you all and is unlikely to fit. Get taxis if you need to.

Thank you everyone! We took the Tube and made it with no trouble at all. In fact, we got to St. Pancras much faster than I thought we would, walked out the door around 9:10 and got there at 9:47!

Now just waiting for boarding on the Eurostar to open and we'll be on our last leg of the trip!!!

Good,
I'm pleased it went well. I was a bit worried when you thought the steps at Edgware Road could be an issue.
It's nice to hear back from an OP.

thanks for the update - happy trips to all of you.

Which route did you walk at Kings Cross St Pancras from the platform to Eurostar? Curious. Escalators or lifts, did you go up the KX side or the STP side? And for an extra bonus point - what did you think of St Pancras?
