St Pancras to Paddington shuttle bus

Hi Travellers

I'm a first time solo traveller in London.

Could you tell me where do I pick up the shuttle/bus to take me from St Pancras (getting off the Eurostar) to Paddington so I can take the train to Bath please?

Cheers
Donna

The easiest way is to take the Underground. Either the Circle Line or the Hammersmith and City Line to Paddington.

From St. Pancras, follow the signs to the Underground (Tube). It's next door at Kings Cross. You can pay with a contactless credit card or Apple/Google Pay. Get off five stops later at Paddington.

As you asked about the BUS you come out of St Pancras and cross Euston Road. There is a bus stop opposite the entrance- Stop A- the #205 stops there every 10 to 11 minutes and takes you direct to Paddington in 22 minutes. That is a pretty reliable timing IMO.

It uses Stop F at Paddington, right outside the station.

I’ve used the bus 205 suggested above. Very easy. Regular city bus, no “shuttle” if you were expecting something marked differently.

Bus: can you tap in and out with your credit card?

Yes, you can tap in with a credit or debit. You do NOT tap out as London buses are a flat fare system, whether you travel one stop or to the end of a route.

Other contactless methods such as Google Pay and Apple Pay are also accepted.

if you tap in on a bus and tap out on the way off you will be charged for two trips.

Tap in getting on and put the card away. At your stop, just get off.
