Hi, does anyone know if the chapel at St James’s Palace is ever open to the public? A quick search on the internet was not particularly helpful. Thank you.
St. James Palace’s interior is never open to the public.
Thanks, I do know the palace itself is closed to the public but I'm wondering specifically about the chapel. I've read on a few travel blogs that it is occasionally open to the public.
I've never heard of that being open, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Have you asked the bloggers you are reading about it?
I’ve did some more research, I found one place that says that the only way a person can see Chapel Royal or The Queen’s Chapel (both at St James) at certain times is by attending a Sunday church service. Services are held at 11:15am except during the months of August and September.
Services from from Easter Sunday to the last Sunday in July in The Queen’s Chapel
Services from first Sunday Sunday in October tonGood Friday are held in the Chapel Royal.
Thanks, Robin!
You are welcome!!
