Spring break lodging for solo traveler

Travel experts - I need your guidance please. I am returning to London, March 1 - 12, to visit the museums, theater, St.Paul’s, Westminster, the Tower, Temple Church, and explore the city through walks with possible day excursions to Winchester and Greenwich. Do you have any lodging recommendations for a solo traveler seeking a budget friendly but safe, clean and well situated room? So many of you have mentioned Premier Inn locations, is that a typical price point? Thank you in advance!

Since you are traveling as a single, you might look at Premier Inn HUB. I liked the one in Soho, and prefer smallish rooms, so perfect for me and well appointed for the small space.

I like Premier Inns, especially in months when I want to have air conditioning available (obviously not including March). But PIs are not the cheapest game in town for a solo traveler. How basic are you willing to go? Do you need an elevator/lift? Is a bathroom down the hall OK? The latter, especially, will save you money. Look for small, independent hotels and B&Bs. Booking.com is useful for preliminary research. I've found the reviews generally reliable, because you can't leave a review if you haven't stayed at the propeety.

It's possible your dates of travel might open up options in university housing. Maybe someone else here has a specific suggestion.

In terms of location, I agree with the idea of trying to stay within the route of the Circle Line on the Underground.

If you want to save money by cooking your own meals, Vancouver Studios may be an an option. It's a tiny studio but has a tiny kitchenette and bathroom.
