We will be celebrating a wedding anniversary on our last night in London this October. We would like a place with a great view and excellent food.
At first, I was thinking Sky garden’s Fenchurch, but just read from someone on the forum that because of the way the building is shaped, the view may not be that good from the top.
Can anyone recommend a wonderful restaurant in London with great views?
Hi Tammy—-I have no personal experience with this, but the OXO Tower is in a great location right on the Thames, across from St. Paul’s, and the restaurant gets very good reviews. The Brasserie is more casual, and could be noisy, so the restaurant would be a better choice for your anniversary.
I also have no experience, Tammy, but here's a list from Eaters that gives 12 restaurants with views. This one looks pretty nice!
Galvin at Windows: Chris Galvin is the chef-patron of this fancy Michelin-starred restaurant on the 28th floor of the Hilton at Park Lane. As well as dishes like langoustines with pickles and truffle gnocchi, diners are treated to 360º views of London’s skyline.
Duck and Waffle, Heron Tower or

The view isn’t great, but the food is excellent….the oldest restaurant in London.. Rules.
I have no experience with this but you could start your evening with a Champagne Experience at the London Eye- https://www.londoneye.com/tickets-and-prices/vip-experiences/
and then go on to your restaurant.
Or maybe one of the dining cruises on the Thames- this is just one of them- https://www.bateauxlondon.com/dining-experiences
I would recommend Darwin Brasserie, also in the Sky Garden. My wife and I had our own anniversary dinner there in 2017. Try to get a reservation around sunset.
Thank you all for your suggestions.
@Robin-funny you mentioned Rules. I have a friend from London and that was his suggestion as well. He said it’s his favorite restaurant in London.
