Looking for just an escorted tour that covers s. England to perhaps up to Wales.
I no longer want to drive myself in England so would enjoy a british run bus tour.
Any recommedations?
Most UK coach holidays are operated by local companies, rather than national organisations. However, there are 2 national companies that maybe worth googling - Wallace Arnold and Shearings. Both run tours, but they tend to cover a relatively small area froma centrally located hotel, rather than moving on every day. Evan Evans are also worth looking at.
There seem to be many escorted tours on line. Be sure to check if accommodations are included or must be paid for separately. Have you checked any of the RS tours? Hotels (and B & Bs) sometimes coordinate with local tour guides. Check National Trust UK web site for ideas on great places to visit.
Three suggestions
http://www.nationalholidays.com/
https://www.rabbies.com/en/england-tours/from-london
with the first two, you’ll definitely have more Brits on board
Have you checked out the Rick Steves' Villages of South England Tour?
I have been on the Rick Steves Villages of South England tour and enjoyed it very much. It doesn't quite meet your criteria, though, since it does not include Wales. The tour was wonderful; one of my very favorites out of all the tours I've taken. You might want to take a look at the itinerary and see if it includes what you have in mind. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about it.
Thank you for all your suggestions. Yes I did look at RS village tour but
The tour price was quite expensive for me. So i was hoping there would be alternates.
