Hello.
Can anyone recommend a reasonable priced hotel in Southampton as we are staying there the night before our cruise departs.

There are plenty at a variety of price points. A good value option is that forum favourite, Premier Inn. There’s a Premier Inn West Quay which is very popular with cruise travellers.
Nearby there’s a Holiday Inn.
There’s the Leonardo Grand Harbour. There’s also a fairly new Moxy (trendy-ish offshoot of one of the big groups: Marriott, I think).

I can recommend the Moxy and the Leonardo.
I also very much like Room2 Hometel which offers rooms with kitchenettes and has a bar and café onsite and offers early check-in options.
And if you're looking for good food and drinks in the area, I highly recommend the historic The Wool House which dates from the 1300's.
