Does anyone have suggestions for B&Bs, hotels or other lodging along Regent Canal in the Camden Town area? Any special, historic or characteristic pubs and restaurants you can recommend? Thank you!!
There is a Holiday Inn on the canal right by the locks.

As Emma said not an area with lots of accommodation choices. Go with the Holiday Inn.
Both Camden Town and the adjacent Kentish Town neighborhoods have gentrified. Pubs are now Gastropubs.
Seriously the once fabulously gritty Camden Lock Market where you could get great bargains is now inundated with crap imported goods as well as over priced antiques etc. Its like Carnaby Street now.
That said I did have a fabulous meal at The Oxford Tavern by the Kentish Town tube station as it was one of the first pubs to become a Gastropub a decade ago.
You should also try the Wahaca above the Kentish Town tube station.
The market is still gritty, but in the modern style of polyglot vendors selling worldwide trinkets. It was like a crowded carnival on a recent Saturday. The canal boat ride from there around Regents Park to Little Venice and Paddington was pleasant on a sunny day. We could see into London Zoo were several dogs, identified, by the tour guide as African, were sunning themselves behind a park fence. Tourists of a sort, just like us.
