Hi, I am new at this and just seeking advice on whether to take the sleeper car to Edinburgh from Moreton in Marsh or from Chester. I am planning on 2days in Cotswalds and 1 day in either Conwy or Chester. Then to go back to London for the sleeper car to Edinburgh. What is the best use of time? I am trying to get a quick trip to Wales if at all possible. We will be going to either Cotswald or Chester on the 1st leg of our trip. Thanks for the help. Tea Tipsy
Wow, you have given me a lot to think about. I really appreciate the fares information, train departure and cities to explore. After reviewing our schedule, it looks like we will not get to North Wales. I really wanted to travel there. We will try and get to south Wales since it is not far from MIM. Any suggestions about what we should see or where to stay? We will be firming up our plans this week.
Thanks for the train fares and websites. This is information I did not have and I will use it now for our other destinations.
Any ideas about what would be a good gift from the states for a relative we will be meeting the 1st time? Is there anything that is a favorite thing to receive?

Sorry I'm amazed you must be the fifth person wanting to travel some torturous route by rail...why ? Driving in the UK is easy ....especially long journeys...UK drivers are the friendliest in the world! Plus your route from more ton in the marsh to Edinburgh couldn't be easier..straight up the M6 M74 ( same road just changes it's name on entering Scotland) en route you will pass the Yorkshire dales the lak district the borders..my god what a journey! Amazing fantastic the most awe inspiring countryside...and you can stop ..look about ..have lunch in a lovely pub AND. The M6/m74 is quite often deserted the further up you go .... Are you scared of driving in the UK? I keep saying it I should cut and paste this but rules for visiting the UK. Rule 1. Do not rely on public transport....rule 2. Never forget rule 1....it's easier to drive. If you still have questions message me
You will also have a difficult time seeing the Cotswolds without a car.
