Sir Christopher Wren Hotel Windsor

I'm going to be staying in Windsor for a couple of nights at the end of a trip to France and England. We will be coming from the countryside by car and were considering staying at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel. Looks comfortable as do the Castle Hotel and Macdonald Windsor Hotel. Anything to consider between these properties before choosing one (they are all priced around the same) and all seem well located?

As for the car, I'm thinking the thing to do is to drop off the luggage/check in and then return the car to Heathrow and take a taxi back to Windsor to avoid paying for parking in town (plus avoiding an extra rental day at least).

We stayed at the MacDonald Windsor Hotel last May, its catty corner from the castle. We really enjoyed ur stay there.

I’m not sure when you are going but we are staying there in a few weeks for one night. I’ll try to remember to reply. We looked at the same three hotels and the only reason we chose this one was because we have two small children and my sister is traveling with us and needed a family room and a single. The other two looked great as well. If it was just my husband and me I probably would have picked Macdonald based on reviews. The river location with the restaurant was a plus.
