Sightseeing and transportation in Southeast Engla

Is there a hop on- hop off bus or train that will take me from Rye or Hastings to see Bodiam Castle, Bateman's, and Scotney Castle, possibly stopping off in Tunbridge Wells before returning to Rye or Hastings?

You only get HOHO buses in city centres. There are no direct regular buses that I can see when googling that link Bodiam and Burwash (Bateman’s), although they are only about 10 miles apart. (Google says most times of the day that this element alone will take over 3 hours).

I live near Scotney and I can’t recall seeing any buses around there. The NT website nationaltrust.org.uk details for each property how to get there.

Bateman’s is quite a walk from Burwash village and the Scotney entrance is the best part of a mile down a long driveway from the nearest road.

There aren’t any rail stations near any of these three properties and without a car, you will struggle to cover these in one day, particularly if you want to add in Tunbridge Wells. A series of taxis maybe your best option between properties.

Jennifer gave you great information. We were in Rye and Hastings in September, didn’t see any buses at all. We had a car so it was easy getting around.
