I'm in a bit of a pickle. We are chaperoning a group of theater students, arriving in London July 30. The tour organizer just sent us the hotel (for 5 nights) and while the students have rooms that will work well for them, the adults have been reserved cocoon rooms at Zedwell Piccadilly Circus Hotel. This hotel will not work for my husband and I and we are scrambling to find a more suitable place to stay. We've been to London, have no problem with small rooms and small beds etc., but we must stay close to the Zedwell Piccadilly so we can't move to any of the hotels we've stayed at before (Victoria area). Price is a consideration as we're not certain we can get the Zedwell room refunded, but we know our constraints and the location don't leave us much wiggle room.
The dealbreakers for us on the Zedwell are no window (makes me claustrophobic just thinking about it) and no furniture, plus the bed basically on the floor (husband has well-controlled rheumatoid arthritis so that's just needlessly difficult). A window, a bedside table, and a chair would make a world of difference.
I would be so appreciative of any suggestions. Thank you in advance!
