Hi. I'm flying on British Airways from Dublin to Milan in October with a 40-minute connection at London City Airport . Is it possible to connect at that airport in such a short amount of time? I've never flown into LCY so I don't know the distance between gates. I called BA and the operator said that they wouldn't change my flight as a 40 minute layover is considered ample time. If I did change my flight, it would be "voluntary" and I would pay the associated charges. Anyone have experience transferring at LCY on British Airways with a short connection?
Looking forward to your comments.

London City Airport is the kind of airport all airports should be like. It’s a very small airport with only 18 gates on two piers which is why 40 minutes is plenty of time to make a connection.
Excellent. Thank you!
You have chosen by far the best airport in the UK to transit through. Enjoy!
At LCY, you can walk from one end of the terminal to the other end in 5-7 minutes.
Small airport, smaller planes, no jet bridges.
I've flown in and out many times and like the airport
British Airways will sell tickets with a 30 minute connection time so they must be confident.
There is no specific transfer route as such though. You go through the regular arrival & departure processes back to back.
LCY is my favourite airport. So small, so well connected by public transit, so close to central London, and such a nice view on the way in.
