Shakespeare's Globe Summer Schedule

Does anyone know when the Globe will announce its summer schedule? We're going to be in London for about a week in July, and would love to see a performance at the Globe.

I have been haunting its website, which currently only shows play performances through the second week of April. There are other activities in London that we would like to book, but I'm holding off until we see what the Globe has to offer. The last three times we've visited, they showed two very different Shakespeare plays in repertory, one comedy and one tragedy, for example.

We get a great deal of pleasure from these performances, and have made attending the Globe a "must do" for our London trips. We are eager to make more specific plans for this summer.

Thanks for your help.

The Shakespeare performances in the “outdoor” theatre start sometime in May. When we went, I believe the booking opened up sometime in February.

For our 2020 trip that never happened :-( I see from my notes that I purchased Globe tickets on February 13 for a show during their summer series. I did purchase a Globe membership for that year, so ticket availability was a little earlier than for non-members by maybe a couple of weeks.

Thanks, Lola and DebVT: I guess I'll have to wait a little longer (sigh.)

I think I'm a member, but maybe not. I know I'm on the mailing list; I'll check that later today.

I just emailed them to ask when tickets will go on sale, both for members and for the general public. I’ll post back here when they reply.

I just checked the website: https://www.shakespearesglobe.com/whats-on/

"Much Ado About Nothing" and "Richard III" are on the schedule.

"Much Ado" will be in Elizabethan dress; "Richard III" looks to be more non-traditional. Although I suspect that both with be innovative. Now, to decide...

Edit to add: "Much Ado About Nothing" it is! Tickets booked!

Lacy, our tickets are for July. We're spending a week in London - well, 6 days - after the RSE Best of England tour and a few extra days in York.

Did Richard III tempt you at all? If there had been more performance times available while we are there, I might have booked that one as well. We saw MacBeth and The WInter's Tale last year, and they were so powerful; I'd like to see what the Globe does with Richard III. But it looks like the schedule gets cut way back in July, and we'd be attending the plays one on Friday and the other on Saturday; I'd prefer a little more time between performances.

But I may check the schedule again in a couple of weeks, and see if I still feel the same way.
