My wife and I would like to attend Royal Ascot in the next year or so. Not much information in traditional travel sites. Would appreciate any pointers to good information sites and advice from anyone who has attended the event.
Royal Ascot is a once a year event at the Ascot racecourse. It’s on now, finishing today, and will be at the same time of year next year. It lasts for 5 days. Check the Ascot racecourse website for details. Tickets for 2026 are already on sale.
Helen has it right. Just one week a year.
Ascot races are on NBC right now for 2 1/2 more hours. So this is the week of the races.
Here’s a link for 2026 dates https://www.ascot.com/royal-ascot-2026
Ascot hosts a number of different race meetings through the year, but only one of them is classed as Royal Ascot, for obvious reasons. That's the one that's on now.
I clicked on the link above and noticed this sentence in the section regarding dress codes for the Windsor enclosure:
We appreciate that certaidical conditions may prevent guests from adhering to our dress code.
My certaidical condition would be "hates to dress up"
