It's a great place and I love it. Are you looking to holiday there or are you wanting advice or what?

Is there a way to get to Lewis from Skye? my husband and I would like to visit both islands. we will be staying at the cottages in the Fort William area. From the map I see that we can catch a ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway and back. I'm hoping to avoid backtracking to get to Skye.
Any recommendations for places to stay on Lewis?
Is there a ferry from Uig to Tarbert?
What will be sufficient time to explore Lewis?
