Savoury Afternoon Tea

Can anybody recommend a savoury version of afternoon tea in London. Tired of the finger sandwich options.
Also doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!
Thanks

Not in London but 1.5 hrs by train is Bradford on Avon and a lovely place for a day trip. The Bridge Tea Room has a traditional afternoon tea and a savory one. We ordered one of each. Delicious. The building it is in is from around 1500. After tea we stopped at the TI for a self guided walking tour of the town which included a Saxon church and Holy Trinity Church which dates from around 1150, a Shambles and other historic buildings. The walkway along the river is pleasant as well. We are actually going back to Bradford on Avon for a day trip in the Spring.

Check out the English Rose Cafe on Lower Grosvenor Place. Doesn’t take reservations.
Place is small and popular.

I found Orange Pekoe in Barnes a few years ago. Liked it. Fairly priced. You should check reviews on TripAdvisor to see if it meets your savory afternoon tea concept.

Lastly, virtually each hotel does an afternoon tea. Will take some research to see which, if any, might fit your budget.

Hey all, many thanks for your replies so far. Funny I’ve looked at some of these options already, but definitely going to look into the Tea room in Bradford on Avon, that would make a great day trip. Also the Big bus tea with b.bakery is already on my list! My budget is 65GBP max as that’s almost $130.00 Cdn dollars, but it’s an once in a lifetime experience so wanted to find something memorable.

We had a spectacular tea in May at Akira ( 101-111 Kensington High Street London, W8 5SA ).
It was reasonably priced especially for what it included. It was a blend of British and Japanese. We had a great time!

We loved Fortnum and Mason's savory tea and you do realize that it will also be your dinner?
