From what I've read online, it seems you can take a boat from Westminster Pier to Greenwich in the morning, spend a few hours in Greenwich museums and then take another boat back to Westminster with the same round trip ticket. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!
You can use the river bus the Thames Clipper. No commentary. Contactless cards accepted. See the website for routes and times.
Here you go:

You can see the RB1 which goes from the London Ey Pier (upstream from Westminster, but you can board there to) to Greenwich.
Check the fare page to see prices for single and roundtrip tickets, as well as the discounts for using Oyster cards and Travelcards.
I love taking the boat on a nice day.
We have done this twice ! It’s a lovely day out , we also visit the Museum as well as walk up to the date line - gorgeous views from hill top , on way back to boat we stop at a pub for lunch .
Loved this Pub in Greenwich! Beautiful view of the river and a nice, real wood, fireplace going.
