Ride Service to Heathrow

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with taking Bolt or FreeNow. My husband and I are older and have had a couple of health problems so I did not want us to take the tube or Elizabeth Line back to the airport to fly home (especially with heavier suitcases from buying items to take home to family members). We are first time travelers to London (and Europe) and will be arriving mid July. We will stay in London 5 days, then travel to a couple of other countries. We return for 2 nights in August and stay near Bayswater Tube Station and then fly back to the U.S. Are these ride service companies good or should we use Gett?
Thank you in advanced for your advice!

I totally appreciate that you don't want to take the tube or Elizabeth line - just be aware that driving will take (much) longer due to traffic. About an hour (maybe longer if the traffic is bad) in the car, or about 30 mins by the Elizabeth Line.

In terms of apps, I use FreeNow frequently but mainly for black cabs, which I like because they have plenty of space for luggage, and the drivers know where they're going, but you can also use them for rideshare. Uber is the other one I use frequently. Not familiar with Bolt or Gett. To be honest they're all pretty much the same.

To Heathrow will be about £80 by rideshare or about £90-£100 by black cab, depending on demand and traffic.

Since you have set times for flights would recommend you book ahead with one of the airport car services. justairports.com is one that I and many on this forum have had good experience for cost and reliability. There are others. To get estimate online just have post code, how many people, how many luggage. For example from W11 for 2 people, 2 check luggage and 4 carry on luggage is about 55 pounds. For airport pick up they will track your flight and if any delays will adjust.

Blackberry Cars seems to be the most often suggested car service company for Heathrow.

I've used Bolt all over Europe for short distances. In London, if I was going to use a car service to get to Heathrow, I'd probably choose Blackberry or Just Airports or see what company my hotel suggests.

We like Welcome Pickups. We have used them in several locations and always good. I don’t know if they have service to/from London

I used Blackberry Cars last month or a pick up from Heathrow to our hotel. Definitely recommend. I think I picked them over Just Airports because the quote was slightly less so definitely get a quote from both. I’ve also used Welcome Pickups in the past and they were great so get a quote from them as well!
