Rick Steves London tour question. Anyone who has been on this tour lately?

We have an east end food tour scheduled on Day 3. I would like to schedule Sky garden visit for that afternoon. Any idea what time the food tour will end?

I, too, on this tour am interested in Sky Garden (no desire for "Eye"). I expect to time/"wing it" for the Sky Garden--during decent observable London weather. This may be an activity I will say "O, shucks I missed it", but I think i'd be nice. Won't choose this over my art journey tho. ab

Since it says it's meant to be your lunch, I would assume midafternoon would be safe. For anything more specific, your best bet is to contact the office.

2nd reply---I just (thanks youtube) discovered HORIZON 22 for London views. Entrance Free, but limited.

Sky Garden is about 40 pound Sterling. I don't skimp when traveling, so I'll choose which is more accessible/convenient.

Suggest you check this Horizon 22. ab

Liz is correct, Sky Garden is free to visit. Alan may be thinking of the Shard, which is expensive to visit the viewing deck. However you can visit for "free" if you're going to one of the bars or restaurants near the top. You can make a reservation for the Gong bar for example and just go for one drink and get to enjoy the views.

Please reach out to the Rick Steves office. They can tell you exactly what the timing will be. They are fantastic about answering this common question for their tours.
