Hi,
We are traveling to England next summer. As part of my research, I've looked into both of his books on England and was wondering if anyone has feedback / recommendations on which is the better one. He has his Best of England and Rick Steve's England as options. Any feedback greatly appreciated.
Rick Steve's England is the more complete book. Best of England has similar information abbreviated from the bigger book, and in a format that may be easier to read, but covers fewer towns/destinations and skips some of the sightseeing-within-a destination that's not considered top priority. See more description on our sales page for each book: https://store.ricksteves.com/shop/guidebooks/uk.
Thank you.
If you’re certain you’re going to England, then buy the England book but also buy another guidebook as well. Rick leaves out a great many places in his book and it’s focused on cute and quaint instead of cities.
I like the Best Of books when I’m kicking around ideas for a trip, but haven’t committed yet.
